The What Why How

What is Breathwork

Breath is life

It is our first source of nourishment, detox and life-force.
We all breathe. In fact, we breathe on average 20,000 times per day, yet most of us are unaware how big of an impact breathing plays on our physical and mental health.
Most of the time we do it automatically, but at one point, you might have experienced a moment of breath awareness and perhaps even intentionally have changed your breathing pattern.
Consciously using different breathing techniques as a tool for change, health and growth is what we call Breathwork.
Some techniques aim to bring calm and relaxation to your being, others achieve balance or wake up your fire and creativity; there are also those that go deep within, bringing about meaningful transformation.
You will notice your energy levels rise, release tension and feel a deeper sense of calm.
Your brain will be receiving and sending signals and health and wellbeing to your body.
Your lungs will be expanding and contracting fully, performing a prime exchange of gases, so
your heart will be pumping well oxygenated blood to the rest of your organs, which will in turn work at optimal performance.
At Breathe&Flourish you will find a wide array of evidence based tools that will empower you to self heal, develop the full potential of your mind, body and spirit, and flourish.
